The Olympic champion finished her two-lap campaign with a win at the all-female Athlos meet in NYC on Friday evening.
{The reigning Olympic champion, who earned bronze at the global championships last month, dominated an outstanding victory in one minute 56.53 seconds in what was only her sixth race in a season affected by a muscle issue.
Compatriot and global silver winner Georgia Bell finished second again in one minute 58.33 seconds, while the athlete from St Vincent Shafiqua M. (one minute 58.57) secured third place.
"I haven't competed much this season so it was probably easier for me to compete and be motivated to perform," said Hodgkinson.
"The environment out there is crazy so it was extremely enjoyable."
The female-exclusive meet packed Icahn Stadium in its second year, introducing a festive vibe to conventional athletics, with musical performances and Tiffany & Co. crowns substituting standard medals.

The US Brittany B., the 200m bronze winner from the recent Paris Games, won the sprint double.
