La Petite Maison's Drink – A Recipe

We present a simplified take on a drink featured on our latest drinks list. It's a large-volume prepared mix which is loaded with tastes of the Christmas time, making it ideal for a holiday party. Reserve the remaining syrup you can use for breakfast cocktails, sweets, or to make another batch of the drink.

The Bikini Cocktail

Makes enough for 10 guests

Ingredients for the Citrus Syrup (makes 750ml)

300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g caster sugar

Ingredients for the Premix (produces 850ml, to serve 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (see above)
Whole cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish

Instructions

To prepare the Cordial: Place all the components into a saucepan, heat until it reaches a simmer, mixing so the sugar melts. After that, turn off the burner and leave to reach room temperature completely. Decant into a sterilised bottle, seal and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it will last for up to one month.

To make Cocktail Base: Pour every spirits and syrup in a big jug, allow it to infuse for 60 minutes, then strain best through a fine cloth, to ensure it's completely strained.

For serving: Measure 85ml of the cocktail base into your mixing glass containing ice, and agitate carefully for about 60 seconds to chill. Strain into a chilled martini glass or equivalent, top with some cranberries and complete it with a quick spritz of mandarin oil above the glass.
