The Music Icon Portrays a Twisted Persona of Her Own Identity in Mockumentary First Look
Charli XCX is preparing for a major cinematic appearance in 2026, kicking off with the satirical film titled The Moment.
In the film, the artist plays what she calls as a twisted version of her public image.
It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music industry that I’ve ever witnessed, the star remarked.
She further explained in a conversation: It’s not a tour documentary, yet the concept came from the expectation to create one.
An Early Look into The Film
The initial preview, released on recently, combines actual recordings from Charli’s Sweat tour with made-up behind-the-scenes moments.
The mockumentary is helmed and co-scripted by Aidan Zamiri, who revealed that the story focuses on a world where Charli opted for alternate decisions in the publicity of her chart-topping release Brat.

The mockumentary is only one of numerous forthcoming film appearances for the star, who already starred in three independent movies in the current year.

Upcoming Projects
The following year will also feature the star together with Olivia Wilde in sensual story I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in art world thriller The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in terror reimagining Faces of Death.
She recently agreed to appear in the actress’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.

Musical Contributions
Next February will also include the launch of Emerald Fennell’s version of Wuthering Heights, which will include new music from the singer.
Additionally, she will create the soundtrack for the story Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch soon.
The mockumentary will be released on the 30th of January.
